Miniatur Wunderland

Rand is obsessed with trains. I have had my eye on this train model train museum in Hamburg for the past year and when we decided to take a cruise to Norway out of Keil, I knew we had to go to Miniatur Wunderland.

After a long drive up to Kiel we checked into our amazing apartment. The location was great and the owner, Ralf was super sweet. The next morning we headed down to Miniatur Wunderland.

This place was crazy! It had tons of model trains and places. It had funny little things to spot like a car brushing its teeth and even Superman! Rand had a blast pointing things out! Miniatur Wunderland has so much to see from the mountains of Switzerland and Austria to watching a plane land and take off in Germany and seeing the light in Las Vegas and much more. You need to take the time and watch for all the little, amazing details and wait for the night to come and lights to shine bright. Not only are the trains on the go, you have cars moving, planes taking off and Knights jousting!

44 parking spaces are reserved in front of the Miniatur Wunderland building for 1,00 € per hour for visitors but we parked at CONTIPARK Parkhaus Speicherstadt at Am Sandtorkai 6, 20457 Hamburg

They even had an American section

area 51

All around the museum they had these buttons you could push to control a part of the display. This one in Switzerland was my favorite because you get a piece of chocolate from the chocolate factory :)

This may be weird but I just had to take a pic to show this amazing baby changing room at Miniatur Wunderland . It had wipes, diapers and more for FREE :)

After spending the morning at Miniatur Wunderland, we spent the rest of the day walking around Hamburg.
