Family in Town

A few months ago my cousin Alyssa messaged me about coming to visit the beginning of April. I was so excited to see her and her husband Tim and show them around German! They were only in Europe a week but made the most of their short trip. We only had a couple days to show them around because they went to Paris and Strasbourg, France during their visit.

On one of the day's they were here, we took them to the famous Burg Eltz. Rob and I have been here numerous times but it is one of our favorites so we didn't want to pass up the chance to go again.

While my cousin and her husband were touring Burg Eltz, we walked down to the creek to
skip some rocks and put our feet in the water.

Burg Eltz has a little cafe and Rand will never pass up a chance to get a pretzel.

After Burg Eltz we headed to Cochem. We parked near the city center and went straight to get a bite to eat. Whenever we are in Cochem, we eat at the Ellis-Schnitzelhaus. After filling our bellies we headed up to Reichsburg Cochem to get a tour of the beautiful castle.

Notice the weird design near the key hole? That was to help guide the key into the hole when the lord was too inebriated
